“Excellence for Children with Learning Differences” is the guiding motto of The Paracletus School in Houston, Texas. The school’s logo and classical pillars of “Truth, Goodness, Beauty” – Veritas, Bonita, Pulchritudo – reflect its mission to provide a nurturing, high-quality education for students who learn differently.
The Paracletus School is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit therapeutic Christian school dedicated to children with language-based learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and related challenges. Founded in 2022 by Dr. Erika Aziegbe, the school was established to fill a critical gap in education for students who do not thrive in traditional classrooms. Its name “Paracletus” (from Greek paraklētos, meaning “advocate” or “comforter”) signifies the school’s role as a supportive advocate for learners who need specialized instruction and encouragement.
The Paracletus School traces its spiritual foundation to the words of Christ in the Gospel of John. Jesus promises to send the Paraclete—the Comforter, Counselor, and Advocate—to be with us always (John 14:16, 26). In that same spirit, we see our calling as advocates for children whose gifts are too often misunderstood or overlooked. Our very name reflects this mission: to come alongside learners as they discover not only how they learn best, but who they are created to be.
As a Classical Christian school, The Paracletus School offers a robust curriculum grounded in timeless subjects and a biblical worldview. Uniquely, the program is designed specifically for children with learning differences – meaning class sizes are small, instruction is individualized, and teaching methods are evidence-based and multisensory. The school meets on a part-time weekly schedule, typically on a church campus Tuesdays through Thursdays. Families may also choose an optional Monday day of Academic Support and Exploration for additional instruction and enrichment to blend structured on-site learning with at-home practice, making quality education accessible and flexible for families. The overall goal is to unlock each child’s potential by meeting their needs academically, spiritually, and therapeutically.
Our mission is to provide a classical Christian education for students with diverse learning differences—children whose unique gifts are too often overlooked. With faith, rigor, and compassion, we empower every learner to discover how they learn best and embrace who God created them to be.
We stand to provide an education grounded in timeless subjects and a biblical worldview, offering specialized instruction and encouragement for learners with dyslexia and diverse learning needs.
Regardless of their learning style, I believe this with all my heart. In founding The Paracletus School, I set out to create a place where struggling learners can excel, bolstered by high expectations, individualized support, and faith-based values. The Paracletus School emphasizes that learning differences are not disabilities to be stigmatized, but challenges that can be overcome with the right approach and plenty of encouragement.
Our approach is both unique and research-based, blending classical academics with therapeutic interventions tailored for each child. We don’t separate therapy from education or faith from learning. Students get everything in one package: a classical education that feeds their minds and character, plus the remedial support that targets their learning obstacles.
As our mission states, we want to help your child discover not only how they learn best, but who God created them to be. Please reach out and let’s discuss this extraordinary opportunity.
Hope to see you soon,

Litchfield Christian School has been such a beautiful blessing to our family. LCS is a Christ-centered school that challenges students academically, nurtures their creativity, promotes a positive learning environment, and contributes to their spiritual growth. LCS is very supportive, and they encourage their students and their families. Our daughter came into LCS completely broken and empty. Public school had taken a drastic toll on her mental health. She had pleaded with us for over a year to homeschool her. We were at a loss. Our daughter is a very social person, and we knew she needed more. We decided to check out LCS as an alternative. From the very moment we stepped inside LCS, we could see and feel the genuine love. EVERYONE felt as if they belonged. Before our day of observing was over, she had asked if she could please come to LCS. She was smiling and said this place is my kind of place. It's definitely been just that!
Today she is thriving, and she is truly enjoying herself. She loves to go to school, and she loves all of the teachers. She has made good friends and is blossoming in all areas of life. She's even started singing on stage during chapel. This has been the best decision we could have ever made as parents for our daughter. We are incredibly thankful for this opportunity in our hometown, and we truly appreciate that LCS offers grades K-12. How blessed we are to be a part of Litchfield Christian School. We look forward to many more amazing years here.
